Jeff Turner Green Obituary The photography world lost a creative eye on September 2nd when Jeff Green succumbed to COPD. During the 65-year-old photojournalists 30-plus-year career he shot for Der Spiegel, The London Times, Black Star, Reuters, Associated Press and Getty Images. His work has also appeared in Parade Magazine, Womens World, New York Times, USA Today, Education Week, The Sporting News as well as Entertainment Weekly and Lifetime Television. Jeff was also a recognized videographer with United Press International, a spot reporter for Idaho Press Club, and a recipient of the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. Local clients have included Washington State University, Gonzaga University and AVISTA. He has also worked for KREM 2 and KHQ 6. An Air Force veteran, Jeff was an avid builder/designer, gourmet cook, fisherman, cat daddy, lawn doctor, car racer and collector of Harley Davidson shirts. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Candace Ballmer; his mother, Jackie McDougald of Spokane; daughters, Heidi Edwards of Beaverton, OR and Holly Davis of Vancouver, WA; four grandchildren, Adrian and Tristan Davis, and Riley and Belle Edwards; brother, Bruce (Melanie Gelb) Green of Spokane; niece, Erin Green-Comite (Bryan) of Connecticut; and uncle, Earl Green of Ogden, UT. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Don Green and brother, Max Green. Standing vigil are his three faithful felines: Phoebe, Nikko and Boots Yardley. A memorial service will be held for Jeff on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1:30pm at the Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake. In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society of Spokane or the charity of their choice in his memory.
