Jeffrey Douglas Lee December 7, 1979 – December 7, 2025.

Jeffrey Douglas Lee was born at Cherry Point Naval Hospital in Cherry Point, North Carolina—on one of the region’s rare and memorable snow days. From the beginning, Jeff brought warmth, humor, and heart to everyone around him. During his childhood in Havelock, North Carolina, Jeff played t-ball, baseball, and soccer, embracing every chance to be active and part of a team. Our family moved to Spokane when Jeff was in the 6th grade and enrolled in Whitman Elementary and Shaw Middle School. He attended Rogers High School, where he wrestled, played the saxophone, and proudly marched in the band. Jeff graduated with the Class of 1998. Jeff was truly “Hillyard-built.” He loved his neighborhood and all the people and places that shaped his life. He enjoyed playing pool, and he had a natural rhythm that made him a talented drummer. He performed with Spokane Sound Circle and cherished every moment behind the drums. Jeff also loved darts and never missed a chance to join in a good game. Jeff loved hackey sacking and riding his skateboard at the Hillyard Skate Park. An outdoorsman at heart, Jeff found joy in camping, fishing, visiting barter fairs, gardening, and foraging for mushrooms. His garden was one of his greatest sources of pride. Whether wandering through the forests of the Pacific Northwest or tending to the vegetables he grew with care, Jeff felt most at home in nature. Jeff worked at Amazon for the past couple of years, where he had pride in being such a hard worker. Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Robert Lee Jr; his paternal grandparents, Florence and Gerald Lee and his maternal grandparents , Mary Tolliver and Ray Jarvis. He is survived by his mother, Janis Lee(Jarvis); his sisters, Jennifer Lee (John Wilmshurst) and Allyson Curran (John Curran) ; and by his beloved nephews and nieces. He leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, countless friends, and his cherished dog, Olive, who was always by his side. Jeff was loved beyond words, and his absence leaves a void that can never be filled. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

There will be a memorial service at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 17th at 12 PM followed by a catered reception and graveside at Riverside Memorial Park.
