Jerry Bryson Porter Obituary Jerry returned home to his Heavenly Father on July 20, 2011. He died of natural causes and was 69 years old. He died while on vacation in Island Park, Idaho, his favorite area to be in. He is survived by his wife, Christine (Teena) Porter of Spokane and his following children and their families: (his first family) Daniele Scott of Cd'A, ID, Michelle Porter of Cd'A, ID, and Adam Porter of Kirkland, WA; (stepchildren) Erryn Black of Lynden, WA, Andrew Gunderson of Hayden, CO, and Shaun Hamilton of Great Falls, MT. He also parented Melody Caton and Lola Tindle of Spokane. He had 10 grandchildren. Jerry was born in San Francisco, CA to Arnold and Lucille Porter. He married Christine Kalball when he was 18. He worked in construction as a Journeyman Carpenter in San Francisco. He and his family moved to Cd'A, ID in 1976 and he worked as a Carpenter for Bunker Hill in Kellogg, ID. Later, Jerry earned an AA degree in CADD-Drafting and was self-employed and then retired. Jerry married Christine (Teena) Fernelius Gunderson in April of 2000. Jerry enjoyed fishing, reading, biking, cooking, collecting, and helping others. He was friendly, loving and kind and will be sorely missed by his friends and family. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed working and serving within the church. He especially enjoyed working as a Spokane Temple Worker. His funeral will be on Tuesday, July 26th at 10:00 a.m., viewing at 9 at the LDS Chapel, 2721 E 63rd, Spokane.
