August 13, 1957 - July 01, 2011

Jim A. Stratton Obituary (Age 53) Passed away Friday, July 1st, 2011 at his home in Spokane, WA. He is survived by his two sons, Trevor and Troy, their mother Janice, his mother Charlotte and mother-in-law Edith, a sister, Tina, two nephews, Conna and Dalton, a niece Alexandra, brother-in-law Jeff, and two sisters-in-law, Diane and Kris. He was a 1976 graduate of North Central High School, and was employed at Washington State Crop Improvement and Pizza Rita; both for more than 20 years. Jim was an avid, sometimes rabid, fan of our local sports teams. He dearly loved the Indians, Chiefs, and Shock; as well as the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks. Seeing Jim adorned in a team jersey was always a welcome and familiar sight. He also had a reputation for throwing the biggest and best Super Bowl parties. He enjoyed his many friends, but was particularly close to a small group, affectionately known as "The Avon Gang", that has been together since 4th grade. The Avon Gang created many lifelong memories together throughout their school days, and then at many sporting events, celebrations, and other social gatherings. Jim will be sorely missed and never forgotten by members of the Avon Gang as they move forward in life without him. Services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, July 16th at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way, Spokane.
