Joan Elizabeth Bellos Obituary (Age 82) Died peacefully on May 7, 2011-" her 82nd birthday"- at Regency at Northpointe extended care facility. She had been battling health issues for the prior eight months before her passing. She was born on May 7th, 1929. Her father was Thomas Price and her mother was Pauline Torrance. They were living in Carbonado, WA when she was born. Her parents were divorced when she was young and her mother re-married Clifford Merrill, Joan's stepfather. Joan and Gene moved from Moscow, ID to Spokane where they raised their children. After her time as a "stay at home mom", Joan went to work at the Crescent in downtown Spokane where she met many lifelong friends. She loved her family, her friends, her pets and life. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Michael) Bellan in Seattle; her beautiful granddaughters Shannon (Fresno), Larisa (Seattle), Sara (Seattle); her beloved daughter-in-law Maureen; and her dearest friend, Georgia along with many, many friends and extended family relatives.
