JoAnne Luise McDaniel Obituary JoAnne McDaniel age 94 of Spokane WA was called home July 1, 2023. Her family is incredibly thankful for all the years we had with her, and that she passed peacefully at home. JoAnne was born in Spokane WA to Esther and William Rydblom. She met her husband Jesse Ray when he was the manager of the Orpheum Theater, and she worked concessions. They had two sons Dennis Ray McDaniel and Danny Jay McDaniel. JoAnne had six grandchildren: Denise, Danyll, Darin (Dennis), Cameron, Jessica and Danessa (Danny). She was blessed with six great-grandchildren: Taryn, Brandon (Danyll), Kira (Denise), Gabe and Kailey (Darin), and Jesse Ray (Cameron). She had the rare gift of great-great-grandchildren: Hayden, and Baker (Taryn), and two more on the way Kenna (Brandon) and baby boy (Kailey). JoAnne adored her family. Each member was Precious to her. Her love for the word of God grew through her Swedish roots and while attending Covenant church with her family. Her grandkids fondly remember her telling them to Var tyst (be quiet in Swedish). Later in her life, JoAnne and Jesse were deeply rooted in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Many lifelong friendships were forged there. JoAnne taught Sunday School for over 29 years, while Jesse drove the church bus. JoAnne modeled unconditional love, selfless giving, and deep commitment to God. She taught us all to forgive. We smile remembering so many things about her. JoAnne worked at A & W as a roller-skating waitress. She LOVED Elvis, the Blackwood Brothers, playing softball in her youth, camping with her grandkids, and trips to Yuma Arizona, and Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband Jesse Ray, two sisters Jeanne and Sue, and her brother Bill. Today we celebrate that JoAnne is with our God and reunited with her husband. We Love You, A Bushel and a Peck and a Hug Around the Neck! To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of JoAnne, please visit our Tree Store
