Joanne Patricia Grimsrud Obituary (Age 62) Joanne passed away on May 16, 2013. Joanne Patricia Stumm was born on April 11, 1951 in Spokane, WA. She graduated from West Valley High School, Spokane WA in 1969. Joanne worked for the Federal Government for 35 years and retired from Federal Service in 2006. She married Howard Grimsrud in 1975 and in 1977 gave birth to their only child, Kevin. Joanne enjoyed working in her flower gardens, cross stitching, jigsaw puzzles, reading, and walking the family dog, Sable. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Cummings. She is survived by her loving husband Howard, son Kevin of Denver, CO, brother Les Stumm and wife Mary Ann, sister Gayle Mantei and husband Jerry, brother Dan Cummings, brother-in-law Alan Grimsrud and his wife Marla, and numerous nephews. A time of visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 22, from 10 am to 5 pm. There will be a Funeral Service celebrating her life and loving spirit on Thursday, May 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to any local animal shelter, the American Cancer Society, or 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Spokane in her name.
