Josephine Ann Lagrou passed from this life on May 31, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on September 28, 1940, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to H. Warren and Ruth Lilly Allen, Jodi grew up in Seattle, Washington, and remembered with great fondness her early years spent in her beloved mother’s boarding house and with her extended family.

After a childhood illness and the compassionate care she received, Jodi was inspired to pursue nursing. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and became a registered nurse, finding deep fulfillment in public health and her years as a school nurse.

In 1971, she married Donald Lagrou, and her fervent desire to become a mother was realized through the adoption of a daughter and a son. Raising her children was the absolute joy of her life. She was also committed to serving others by singing in church choirs, leading Awana groups, supporting overseas missionaries, and by diligently studying and teaching the Word of God.

Jodi leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith and devotion to her Savior and her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Lagrou and is survived by her daughter, Connilyn (Chad) Cossette of Midlothian, Texas; her son, Samuel (Christina) Lagrou of Medical Lake, Washington; and two cherished grandchildren, Collin and Corrianna, also of Midlothian.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairmount Memorial Park (Sunset Chapel), 5200 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, Washington.
