Joel Patrick Crisp, age 47, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, May 13, 2024.
Joel, also known to many as “Farmer Joe”, was born in Spokane Washington on April 23, 1977. He worked most of his career as an HVAC technician for Washington State University in Pullman and Spokane. His last and most enjoyable career was working and living in Green Bluff Washington with his family. Farming was in his blood.
In his youth, starting at the age of 6 and into his teenage years Joel played Spokane youth hockey with his dad, Rick as team coach.
Joel attended Shadle Park High School and graduated from Colfax High School in 1996.
In his final years, music became his passion. The music industry and many talents enjoyed his contagious enthusiasm for the art. Quieter times for Joel included fishing, hiking, and spending time with his family.
Joel was a loving father who had a kind and gentle heart—survived by his son, Owen, and daughter, Taylor; his granddaughter, Jamie, and her mother, Ta’Laiah; his parents Rick and Claire Roening and Lynn (Crisp) Stamper; sisters, Jen MacEachern and Jackie Jordan; Brothers, Ryan Ballou, Robert and Thomas Crisp; brother-in-law‘s, Will Jordan and Dan MacEachern; his special aunt Kathy, and many other family whom Joel loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jamie Rae Crisp in 2021; his father, Joel P. Crisp; grandparents, Robert and Carol Angel, Chuck Crisp, Joan Hemond, and Jack and Blanche Roening.
A memorial service honoring Joel’s life will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., with a graveside service and ash committal to follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens at 12:30 p.m. Hertiage Funeral and Cremation is entrusted with the arrangements.
