John A. Snell Obituary John A. Snell (89) of Spokane, passed away October 2, 2011 in Spokane. He was born November 10, 1921 in The Dalles, OR to Frank and Helen Snell. John came to Spokane as a child. He graduated from Valley Ford High School in Spokane. John served in the Army during WWII 1942-1945 in France. John worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He sorted mail on the trains between Spokane and North Dakota. He worked for them 34 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors and camping and his grand- children's sporting events. John was a former member of the Prairie Riders Saddle Club and The Good Sam's Maverick Camper Club. He was also a member of the Central Baptist Church in Spokane. John is survived by his wife, Charlotte at home; sons and daughter-in-law Ken and Candy Snell of Hillsboro, OR, and Timothy C. Snell and Cindy of Spokane; daughters Kathryn M. Knowles of Mead, WA, Lova and Donald Smith of Spokane; grandchildren Jamie and Gala Knowles, Jennifer R. Knowles, Jacquie and Dan McHenry, Kimberly and Corey Bonsen, Timothy D. and Jennifer Snell, Thomas E. Snell, Kacie T. Snell, Cory L. Snell, Milanie A. Smith, Erica J. Smith; great-grandchildren Jacob K. Knowles, Sarah M. Knowles, Joshua McHenry, Josiah McHenry, Briar McHenry, Bramble McHenry, Maile Bonsen, Kaia Snell. Other survivors include a brother, Robert E.
