John H. Hemighaus Obituary (Age 86) John passed away April 4, 2010. He was born January 26, 1924 in Norristown, PA. He was married 64 years to his wife Ruth. They lived in the home John was born in until 13 years ago, when they moved to Spokane. John was a commercial truck driver all of his work life and as a hobby enjoyed collecting hats. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of Spokane Central Seventh-Day Adventist Church and volunteered at the Better Living Center where he was affectionately known as "the candy man". He is survived by his wife Ruth; daughters Judy (Jack) McCain of Shelton, WA, Jane (Mel) Wilkinson of Lewiston, ID, and Janet Mueller of Taylor, B.C.; sons John Hemighaus of Three Forks, MT and Mark (Vicky) Hemighaus of Colton, WA; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday noon-5:00PM at the funeral home and Funeral Service 1:00PM Thursday April 8, 2010 at Heritage Chapel.
