John T. Fisher Obituary (Age 80) After suffering with so much pain, his spirit was lifted to the Father on October 5, 2010, where he is now at peace and enjoying his favorite sport of fishing. John was born in Crystal City, MO on January 14, 1930. He joined the U.S. Air Force at the age of 17 and was stationed at Fairchild A.F.B. John proudly dedicated twenty years of his life serving in the U.S. Air Force where he participated in the Berlin Airlift and the Korean War. He was most proud of being a part of the B-36 era. John was the crew chief of the last B-36 to fly that is now on display in Omaha, Nebraska. After leaving the Air Force he worked an additional twenty years at Interlake Schools in Medical Lake until 1988. He was an avid fisherman and sportsman. He loved hanging out with the boys at the 3 p.m. coffee and giving them a hard time and a good laugh. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him especially his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marion; his three children, Randy, Jim and Vicki; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the new Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. A reception will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Medical Lake following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or the charity of your choice.
