John William Day

January 14, 1947 - March 10, 2011

John William Day Obituary John William Day, born 1-14-1947, passed away 3-10-11 at age 64. He attended Franklin High School in Seattle, Wa and received his GED while in the Army. He served his country from 1966 to 1968, serving in Germany. He moved from Seattle, WA to Spokane, WA in 1977. He met his wife, Linda in 1980 and they were together for 31 years. They were married on April 1, 1995 in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. John worked for the City for 21 years as an offset press operator, retiring in June 2009. He loved to fish and play golf. John is survived by his wife, Linda, his stepchilden David Wilkerson of Spokane, WA, Kris and Paul Emerson of Moses Lake, WA, Fawn and Venicia Lentz of Seattle, WA and his grandchildren Brady, Brandon, Brooklyn and Bryce Emerson, Kylie Wilkerson, and Kariss Sanchez. He is also survived by 3 brothers and 2 sisters and his mother-in-law and brother and sister-in-law: Jim and wife Sharon Day of Bremerton, WA, Tom and Leonard Day of Seattle, WA, Barbara and husband Dennis Burns of Allyn, WA, Linda and husband Joe Hinds of Port Townsend, WA, Mother-In-Law, Betty Collin of Spokane, WA, Brother-In-Law and Sister-In-Law, Matt and Corri Collin of Spokane, WA, and many nieces and nephews. John was peceded in death by his parents, Clarence Day and Marian Ellis. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Minnehaha Covenant Church, 4005 E Marietta, Spokane, WA, Rev. Roy Cheney officiating.
