Joyce D. Rae Obituary (Age 87) Joyce D. Rae, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on March 16, 2017. She was born on February 14, 1930 in Simms, MT to Myrtle and Nils Munson. She graduated in 1948 from Hysham, MT. Joyce then attended Kinman Business University in Spokane, WA and joined Alpha Iota Sorority, eventually becoming an active member for over 65 years. Joyce held many jobs throughout her life. She moved to San Francisco and worked at Standard Oil while they processed her for government clearance. She then began working for the Atomic Energy Commission. Joyce also managed the Spokane Shriner's Circus Office for many years and worked at MONY until she retired. She loved to volunteer at Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, rocking the babies. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with family and friends. Joyce married and had three children, Billy, Bonnie and Jimmy. She was preceded in death by her children Billy and Jimmy; her brother Glenn; and sister Bonnie. She is survived by her daughter Bonnie and son-in-law (Tim) of Spokane; grandson Nick (Ashley) of Bothell; granddaughter Alison (Ryan) of Portland; and two great-grandchildren Easton and Violet. A special thank you to the Alpha Iota Sorority Sisters for always being there, to Sue Allen for caring for her during her last two years, and Linda Halverson for her continued love and friendship.
