Julie A. Rotan Obituary Julie A. Rotan (93) of Spokane, passed away September 29, 2011 in Spokane. She was born July 26, 1918 in Minnesota, to John and Anna VanHeuvlen. Julie came to Spokane in 1954 from Colorado. She was an avid gardener and her home was her pride and joy and she loved her two pugs; Louie and Casey. Julie was a hard worker taking on many endeavors whole heartedly. She was a long time supporter of The Messiah Lutheran Church in Spokane. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Barbara and Anthony Debing of Spokane, Sandra Anderson of Spokane, Melissa and Kevan Luke of Spokane, and grandchildren; Sabrina Denton, Wendy McCliment, Valerie Debing, Monique Corigliano, Angela Debing, Curtis Anderson, Joe Anderson, Dalton Luke, Elliot Luke, eight great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and dear friend Rhoda Behrens. Julie is preceded in death by her first husband, Theodore Frovik in 1981 and her second husband, Robert Rotan in 1998 and 12 brothers and sisters. Contributions may be sent to the Elysian Fields Animal Sanctuary, PO Box 613, Nine Mile Falls, WA 99026. Graveside services will be held Friday, October 7th at 2pm at Riverside Memorial Park 508 N. Government Way, Spokane.
