Julie was born on September 15, 1944 in Spokane, WA, to Walter and Bethel Lidstone (born Goodman), last known as Bethel Roskam. She ascended to eternal peace with the Lord on May 16, 2026 from Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington.
Julie graduated from North Central High School in 1962 where she proudly served as a Red Feather Girl. She went on to build dedicated careers with both the IRS and the City of Spokane. However, her most important and meaningful life’s work was raising her family--and no one was better at it than Julie!
She was previously married to Sam Moeller, with whom she shared two sons, Erik & Brad. On July 30, 1976, she married Wes Barringer and lovingly welcomed his children, Mark & Lucille, into her heart and family. Julie & Wes were just 6 weeks shy of celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, a testament to a beautiful, enduring devotion. They were truly meant for each other!
Time with family was when Julie was happiest; she never wanted family gatherings to end. She was a kind, loving, giving person who constantly put others before herself, leaving an enormous, lasting impact on everyone she touched.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Walter; step dad, Peter Roskam & her mother Bethel; her brother Calvin Lidstone; her former husband Samuel Moeller; and her beloved son, Bradley Moeller.
She is survived by her devoted husband F. Wesley Barringer; her children, Erik Moeller (Tania) of Spokane, Mark Barringer of Jacksonville, FL, and Lucille Barringer of Pittsboro, NC; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Moeller of Spokane (widow of her late son Brad). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Logan Moeller (Taylor), Katerina Moeller, Cerissa Moeller, Regan Moeller, Cassandra Moeller, all of Spokane, and Erin Barringer of Pittsboro, NC; her sister-in-law Brenda Lidstone & nephew Alex Lidstone, both of Spokane; and her cherished great-granddaughters, Charlotte Julie Moeller of Spokane and Jalliyah James of Pittsboro, NC.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 5th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 W. Government Way, Spokane, WA 99224. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Salvation Army of Spokane (spokane.salvationarmy.org) at 222 E Indiana Ave, Spokane WA 99207.
