Julie Charisse Green Obituary (Age 45) Beloved daughter, sister, aunt, caring friend and professional ASL Interpreter for the Deaf, Julie Charisse Green, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2014. A native Washingtonian, she was born January 27, 1969 in Seattle, WA. Julie was a graduate of Ferris High School where she was a member of Canterbury Bells, Drill Team and a Varsity Cheerleader. A graduate of WSU, she held a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Julie also earned an honors degree from SCCC's A.A.S Interpreter's Program and a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from Heritage University, Seattle. Julie will be remembered for her dedication as an ASL Interpreter, most recently working for the University of Washington Medical Center where she provided interpreting and transliteration services for medical staff and patients undergoing all manner of medical procedures, surgeries and consultations. As a trained ASL Instructor, she contributed to the education of K-8 students in the greater Seattle area. Daughter of Marguerite G. Green and Robert E. Green of Spokane, WA sister of Robert C. Green, his wife Denise Green and their daughter Bella of Bothell, WA and sister of Anjanette Green, Shanghai, China. She is also survived by two uncles, Charles Fitzsimmons of Las Vegas, NV and Richard Fitzsimmons of Benicia, CA, and her cousin Theo Fitzsimmons also of Benicia, CA. Julie will be missed for her endless creativity, her amazing singing voice and love of music, her generous and caring spirit and her work as an advocate lending both her time and energy to the causes she believed in. Memorial donations can be made in Julie's honor to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, http://www.pancan.org/donate-now/. Two services will be held: Spokane, Saturday, August 16th, 11:30am, St. John?s Cathedral, 127 East 12th Ave; the second service in Seattle, arrangements pending.
