Julie Jane Wertman Obituary (Age 74) Passed away March 12, 2015 in Spokane. She was born October 26, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph A. and Violet M. (Gilbert) Henderson. She was raised in Ankeny, Iowa. She was a member of Scottish Highlanders at the University of Iowa where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Julie met the love of her life Dave, married on October 20, 1962 and had two children. She lived in Denver, CO and later moved to Spokane, but her heart was always in the mountains of Colorado. She lived for being with her grandchildren. Her new hobby was quilting and she was an avid learner. She is a member of Whitworth Presbyterian Church, Delta Zeta Sorority, Daughters of the Nile, El Katif Shriner�s Lady and a past member of the Sweet Adeline�s. Julie is survived by her husband F. David Wertman III; son Douglas (Tracy) with grandchildren Megan and Jordan Wertman of Bothell, WA, daughter Amy Sprecher (Mike) with grandsons Ryan and Christopher Sprecher of Nine Mile Falls, WA and a sister Barbara Longnecker of Grimes, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law David Longnecker. A Memorial Service will be held at 2PM Thursday March 19, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Chapel.
