Julius O. Liljenberg Obituary (Age 102) Julius died on November 23, 2014 in the care of his family. Born on June 2, 1912, in New York, NY, he moved at age 2 to Spokane where he lived with his mother, brother, and step-father. Jul worked for Calkins Manufacturing from 1932 to 1979 as a machinist/pattern maker and also filled the role as a mechanical engineer. He married Loolah Morris, his wife of 57 years in 1942 in Whitefish, MT. They moved to Five Mile Prairie in 1948 where they raised six sons and were active members of the 5-Mile Community Church. Jul retired in 1979 and for the next 20 years he and Lou were caretakers at Cocolalla Bible Camp until Loolah passed away in 1999. When asked of his favorite times, he�d reflect fondly upon family camping trips to Marshall Lake and upon times spent with Loolah serving at Camp Cocolalla. His favorite Bible passage was 1 Peter 1:3, �Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.� He leaves behind a legacy of 6 sons and their wives, 22 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Heritage Funeral Home on Friday, November 28, from 10 to 5. Memorial Service will be held at Heritage, Saturday, November 29, at 2 pm.
