June Ellen Witkowski Obituary June Ellen Witkowski died on April 28th, in Spokane WA a month before her 81st birthday. She was born in Detroit Michigan to Carl and Blanch Parkis. She grew up in Detroit and graduated from St. Vincent�s HS in 1952. She married Richard J Witkowski in 1952 and moved to Alpena to raise her family - a place where she spent many of her formative years. She moved back to the Detroit metro area ten years later when her husband started working for Ford Motor Co. She moved to Spokane, Washington in 1971 and was a small business owner in Spokane from 1972 � 1980. She divorced Richard J. Witkowski in 1983. She would relocate in either Alpena or Spokane several more times before taking up her final residence in Spokane. She was an avid reader (James Michener comes to mind), enjoyed traveling around the US, and visiting relatives in MI, WA, and CA. She was a devote Roman Catholic. She is survived by her four sons: Richard J. Witkowski II, Michael A. Witkowski, Danial P. Witkowski, Robert W. Witkowski, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her sister Mary J. Mallery. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4515 N Alberta St, Spokane at 11:00am. Visitation will follow at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N Government Way, Spokane from 1:30-5:00pm. She will be buried in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Alpena, MI next to her parents.
