May 15, 1929 - January 09, 2018

Junior Davis "Dave" Hickman Obituary Passed into rest Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He is survived by his wife Barbara Hickman, his daughter Gail Keiser and her husband Greg and his son Emmitt Hickman. He is also survived by four grandchildren, one great-grandson and one sister Ruby Jean in California. Dave was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on May 15, 1929. One of six children, he started working at the young age of 13 delivering Coke to the Air Force base. He enlisted in the Navy at 18 and went on to serve for 21 years, retiring as an officer. After leaving the military, he moved to California and became a licensed electrician. He came to the Spokane area in 1980 with his son and stayed, joining the VFW Post 1471. He served as post commander twice, and enjoyed the time spent with his fellow military members, playing golf and darts. No Memorial Services will be held at this time. There are plans to have a Memorial Service later this year, when the weather is better. If you wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dave's name to the military charity of your choice.
