Karen Anne (Popp) Wilhelm Obituary (Age 66) Karen Anne Wilhelm entered into rest Tuesday March 5, 2013. She was born on July 22, 1946 in Rome, NY to Virginia and Jack Popp. Karen graduated from Shadle Park High in 1964 and from Eastern Washington in 1991 with a BA degree in applied Psychology. Karen worked for Avista Utilities until she retired in 2008; she volunteered her time working with the crisis service for many years. She is survived by her twin sister Valerie Stan, nephew Jeffery Stan, his wife Kymberley Stan, and their children Sean Stan, and Kayla Stan. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Spokane Humane Society. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 13 and Thursday, March 14 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 15 at 11:00 am at Heritage Funeral Home with Pastor Virtus Young officiating. Interment will take place at Riverside Memorial Park.
