Karen Jane Eldenburg (McFadden), nicknamed Shoogie, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on November 28, 2025. In late January, following brain surgery, she was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma. She enjoyed the summer and was healthy and happy throughout most of her final months. She embraced each day with faith and positivity.

Karen loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart, and she truly tried to live according to her faith. Her faith in Jesus was a guiding light as she faced this devastating illness. Even after beating breast cancer six years ago, she was still filled with faith and hope.

Karen cherished her family and friends, enriching the lives of everyone around her. She is survived in love by her husband Rick, father Dick, brother Donnie, stepson Robby, stepdaughter Bonnie, son-in-law Thomas, and grandson. She also left behind a large extended family and many friends.

At her request, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Hospice of Spokane in Karen’s name.
