Katherin "Ann" Welton Obituary Ann passed away August 19, 2011, with her family by her side. She was six weeks into recovery from open-heart surgery and was looking forward to being able to do the things she loved, especially going on a rollercoaster ride, when she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Ann was born June 18, 1933 to V. Clare and Velma (Dunn) Snider in Albany, Oregon. She moved to Washington in 1968 and to Spokane in 1977. Ann married Kenneth E. Wolford, November 1950. He passed away in 1958. She then married Lawrence E. Welton, April 1960. Ann loved her family, music, decorating for holidays, lighthouses, ceramics, camping and rollercoaster rides. She was a member of Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church. She volunteered in the schools when her children were young; sang in the church choir; worked at Fort Wright College until it closed and then went to work in local music stores until her retirement. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Sue (Chuck) Lodholm of Lacey, WA; Karen (Mark) Lee of Albany, OR; Larry (Barb) Wolford of Spokane; Ken (Becki) Wolford of Auburn, WA; Tom (Jennifer) Welton of El Sobranto, CA; and Amy Welton of Spokane. She had 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: V. Clare and Velma Snider, a sister: EllaNora, brothers: Donald and Vernon Snider, daughter: Jacqueline, and husbands: Kenneth E. Wolford of 7 years, and Lawrence E. Welton of 50 years. Viewing will be Friday, August 26th, from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Graveside services and internment will be Saturday, September 10th at 2:00 p.m. at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens, Albany, OR. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.
