Kathryn Elizabeth Harty Obituary (Age 62) Kathy was born March 9, 1955 in Spokane. She was in a great deal of pain because of her rheumatoid arthritis which disabled her. She slipped into a coma and died three days later on July 17, 2017. Kathys long-time boyfriend, Greg Shields, was devoted to her and visited her daily. Her husband, Bert Harty, died in 2001. Kathy is survived by her son Clint Johnson, his wife Ashley, and grandkids Kira and Wesley. Kathy was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and VFW #51 Auxiliary. Special thanks to North Central Care Center, Sue Shields, Darlene Stewart and Kim Ferraro. A Memorial Mass for Kathy will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1503 W. Dean, Spokane, on Saturday, July 29th at 1:30 PM. A reception will follow at the Parish Center next door.
