Kenneth Dean "Ken" George Obituary (Age 55) Kenneth Dean George entered into rest on November 18, 2010 at his home in Spokane with his family at his side. He was born in Bonners Ferry, ID on July 14, 1955, and moved to Spokane with his family. He graduated from high school in 1974. Ken married his high school sweetheart, Theresa, on August 11, 1974. Together they raised four children in Spokane. Ken was a welder by trade. He worked at Travis Pattern and Foundry the last 30 years until retiring in 2009 when diagnosed with brain cancer. Ken?s dedication to his family and his hard work ethic helped him battle his disease. Ken, the ?Cancer Warrior?, lived 13 more months. Ken was a loving husband and father; his favorite times were spent with his family. He loved to help people whenever possible. Ken was always ready to help family and friends fix cars or things around the house. He made everyone feel welcome in his home and was a father figure to many. Ken loved hiking, mountain climbing, fishing, gardening and, of course, baseball. His favorite vacations were spent camping on the Washington and Oregon coast with his family. Ken is survived by his parents Lela and Clair Grondahl; his wife of 36 years, Theresa; son Aaron (Samantha), daughter Tina (Travis) Johnson, daughter Anna (Joshua) Cantu, and son Kevin; grandchildren Chandler, Winter, Eliot, Maria, Jessey, and a baby girl on the way. He is also survived by his brothers Tim and Tom, sister Pam Zepeda, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 11:00am at Heritage Funeral Home.
