Kenneth J. Mock Obituary Kenneth J. Mock was born March 10, 1943 and passed away on March 5, 2016, at the age of 72. He was the first son of Ambrose Mock and Florence Schuster of Dyersville, Iowa. In 1961, he graduated from St. Francis Xavier at the top of his class. After graduation, he moved to Inglewood, CA, and attended Northrop Institute of Technology. While there he became President of the Northrop Student Aeronautics Society and graduated in 1964 with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Just before graduation, he married Alice Susette Timaio. They remained living in Inglewood where their three children were born. After graduation, he was hired by Rocketdyne in Canoga Park, CA, as a rocket design engineer. He remained there for three years. In 1966, he was hired by TRW in Redondo Beach, CA, as an Aerospace Engineer in Chemical Laser Design. In 1974, the family moved to Torrance, CA. Later, he moved to Pullman, WA, and was hired by Washington State University in the capacity as Director of Technical Services. After retirement, he spent his time between Spokane, WA, and Pine Mountain Club near Frazier Park, CA. until the time of his death on March 5, 2016 (?). His interests/hobbies were: golf, astronomy, playing the piano, and photography. His is survived by: Daughter, Michele Lynn Mock of San Diego, CA; son, Cary Michael Mock of Los Angeles, CA; son, Christopher Brandon Mock of Los Angeles, CA; and his brother, Eugene J. Mock of Torrance, CA. Memorial Services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, Sunday, March 20, 2016, at 9am. Viewing of the casket and recitation of the rosary. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park, immediately following memorial services, at 11am. Reception to be held at Beacon Hill Events, in Spokane Falls, WA, from 12-2pm.
