Kenneth LeRoy "Ken" Daly Obituary (Age 78) Ken entered into rest on November 27, 2012 in Spokane, WA. He was born on May 4, 1934 in Davenport, WA to Roy and Carrie ?Ethel? Daly. Ken lived most of his life in Spokane, with the exception of two years active duty in the Marine Corps. He attended North Central High School and entered the Marine Corps upon graduation. Ken married the love of his life Edith Margaret "Margie" Daly and they spent 57 wonderful years together. They had three children, Linda, Kenneth, and Kevin. After leaving the Marine Corps, he completed trade school and was employed as a sheet metal worker until retirement. Ken re-entered the Marine Corps and participated as a reservist for an additional 28 years. He retired as Chief Warrant Officer 3. Ken enjoyed reading, boating, traveling and "playing at golf" in his retirement years. He was rarely idle and took on most fix-it challenges. Ken was a proud life member of the Marine Corps League, the Spokane Yacht Club, where he was Commodore in 1993, the International Order of the Blue Gavel, the Elks Lodge and he volunteered for Toys for Tots. Ken is survived by his wife Margie Daly; his children Linda (Steve) McIntosh, Kenneth R (Kelly) Daly, and Kevin?s wife Pam Daly; brother Ronald L Daly "Ronnie" and his wife Donna and children Mike, Steve, and Keith; his grandchildren Jordon Daly, Tanner Daly, and Savannah Daly; and his extended family. Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his son Kevin. His family gives special thanks to the nurses and staff at Valley Hospital and Cancer Care Northwest, along with physicians Ndegwa Njuguna, MD; Danko Martincic, MD; Robert H Gersh, MD; and Ambalavadan Balasubramanin, MD. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home in Spokane, WA. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 315 W. Mission Ave, Suite 20, Spokane, WA 99201 or Toys for Tots c/o Marine Corps League, 300 W Mission Ave, 99201.
