LaMoine R. "Rusty" Kurth

LaMoine R. "Rusty" Kurth Obituary (Age 76) Rusty was born May 16, 1934 in Eau Claire, WI to Walter and Minnie Kurth. He passed away at his home in Spokane on November 10, 2010. He graduated from Chippewa Falls High School in 1952 and went on to earn an associates degree from Spokane Community College in Mid-Management in 1976. On June 7, 1959 Rusty married Diane Vogler and went on to spend 20 years in the US Air Force as a meteorologist. He enjoyed woodworking, especially scroll saw work, singing with The Pages of Harmony, The Riversong Chorus and his church quartet The Minor Prophets. Rusty has been a 36 year member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, a 16 year member of The Barbershop Harmony Society, a volunteer at Fairchild Air Force Base in the retired activities office, he has been a scout at Minot Air Force Base and Troop 201, he also earned a Wood Badge in 1974. Rusty is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane, sons; Desmond, Timothy and Michael, daughter Pamela, grandsons; Derek, Travis, Brandon and Logan, as well as his brother James. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Duane and Desmond, and his sisters; Lois and Ann. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane or St. Luke Lutheran Church's seminary fund. A Memorial Service will be 1:30 PM, Sunday, November 21 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9706 N. Division.
