Lana Lavene Bruno, 76, passed away on September 2nd, 2025, in Spokane, Washington. She was the wife and widow of Gino Bruno and is survived by her children and grandchildren: son Gino and his wife JoAnn; daughter Karen and her husband Jason and their children Jaslyn, Jason II., Jaylin, and Jaxyn; and son Gian and his husband Jason; and many other family members and friends.

Lana was born on September 21, 1948 in Joplin, Missouri, but was an Okie, through and through. She was raised in Picher, OK, and eventually made her way to the San Francisco Bay Area in California, along with her family. Lana was an entrepreneur, health care worker, worked in retail, and was a proud homemaker. She was wonderfully sassy and loved ferociously.

Lana was a beacon of kindness, strength, and compassion not only for her family, but for many who knew her. She was the person you wanted to sit next to at band concerts or family gatherings. Lana will be remembered as a proud mother and grandmother, loving wife, loyal friend, and fiercely independent woman. She will be missed dearly.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Spokane Meals on Wheels.
