Larry D. Lenz Obituary Larry was born on July 12th, 1926 in Spokane Washington and passed into eternal rest on Friday, June 12th, 2009, after a long and courageous fight with Alzheimer's disease. He is survived by his three children and their families: Pam Novell (Kerry) Spokane, Randy Lenz (Donna) Spokane, Jerry Lenz (Sharon) Portland, also six granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Larry graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1926 and went directly into the U.S. Navy. After being honorably discharged, he returned home to Spokane and joined his father, Shorty Lenz, in the family used car dealership. Larry was vice-president and treasurer of the Independent Used Car Dealers Association. After ending his career in the car business in the early 1970s, Larry went to work for the Pring family at Play Fair Race Track until retiring to enjoy his time with family. Larry loved to spend time with his grandchildren, playing practical jokes, dancing and the lake. He will be missed by all. Services will be held Wednesday, June 17th, 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Providence Brain Institute, 9135 S.W.
