Larry J. Zehm Obituary (Age 80) Larry of Spangle, WA was surrounded by family when he passed away on Saturday, March 18th at 3:40 PM at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, WA. Larry was born June 30, 1936 to Erwin and Irene(Bratt) Zehm in Spokane, WA. He had one brother Monty N. Zehm and one sister Sandra L. (Zehm) Stalnaker. Larry graduated from Spangle High School in 1954 and Washington State College in 1958 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. He worked as a Federal Grain Inspector for the USDA for 30 years having worked in places such as Portland, Minneapolis, Quebec and Spokane. He was proud to serve in the Navy Reserves for 42 years. Larry loved to travel and visited every continent with the exception of Antarctica and 48 of the 50 states. He was always looking to travel to somewhere new. He loved the outdoors and volunteered for the Inland Northwest Wild Life Council and was an avid fisherman. One of his favorite activities was to attend his grandkids ball games. Larry is survived by his wife of 53 years Lorraine Zehm. Daughters Cindy (Arlin) Paulson, Karla Kyes, Laurie (Devin) Saylor and son Randy(Maeleen) Zehm and 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2pm on Saturday March 25th 2017 at Heritage Funeral Home. There is a reception to follow at the Spangle Service Club, 165 N Main Street Spangle, WA. Donation may be made to the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council 6116 N Market St. Spokane, WA 99208.
