Larry Lee Holloway Obituary (Age 74) Larry, of Spokane, passed away on Wednesday, August 24th. He was born in Wymore, Nebraska on June 17, 1942 to Isaac B. (Abe) and Mildred (Christensen) Holloway. He was baptized at the Christian Church in Wymore, Nebraska. He was a member of the Lakeway United Methodist Church in Austin, Texas and a 45 year member of the American Legion, 20 years at Post 282. A proud graduate of Wymore High school, he began a 45 year career in the insurance industry with Nebraska Farmer. He served 2 years in the US Army as a medical corpsman and drill instructor, rising to the rank of Sergeant. Larry's career took him to various points across the country including California, Illinois, Texas, and Washington State. Larry was very successful in the insurance industry, serving as Vice President for J.N. Davis & Company and President/Chief Executive Officer for Harvest of Texas. Considered an expert in his field, Larry returned to Spokane to serve as a mentor for executives at the Northwest Farmer Stockman, Inc. specializing in recruitment and retention until he retired. Larry and his wife, Louise Anne (Porter) Holloway, celebrated 48 wonderful years of marriage this past June. They enjoyed traveling, with Hawaii being one of their favorite destinations. Larry enjoyed participating in sports, Nebraska football, socializing with friends, and working in his yard, but most of all spending time with his family. He was happiest when he was with his grandchildren. He is survived by his Wife, Son and Daughter-in-law, Col. Sean and Rebecca Holloway of Virginia, Daughter and Son-in-law, Kim and Paul Clark of Spokane, Grandchildren: Tristan Clark, Morgan Holloway, Brittany Holloway, Bennett (Ben) Clark, Avery (Sean) Holloway, Savannah Holloway, and Kaylee Clark, Sister and Brother-in-law, Phyllis (Sissie) and Jean Henrichs, Brother and Sister-in-law, Bob and Cathy Holloway, Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, George and Della Porter, Sister-in-law, Linda Nix, and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services: 11 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way.
