Larry Melvin Millard, beloved Father, Grandfather, Papa and friend, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025, in Spokane, Washington, at the age of 86. Larry was born on February 10, 1939, in Picher, Oklahoma, to Melvin “Mutt” Millard and Mattie "Mae" Millard.

He graduated from Picher High School in 1957 and married the love of his life, Connie Jo, on May 21, 1959, at Union Church in Picher. Together, they began their journey in Milan, New Mexico, where they started their family and raised three children. In 1978, the Millard family moved to Tum Tum, Washington, where Larry and Connie built a home together In 1986, Larry’s work in the mining industry took them to Montana, where he worked at the Stillwater Mine and later the Stillwater Smelter.

After retirement, they came back to their home in Tum Tum to be close to family and friends. Larry was many things: the best Dad, Grandpa, Papa, father-in-law, cheerleader, and friend one could ask for. His deep love for his family was evident in everything he did. Larry could always be found in the stands at sporting events, cooler and green chair in hand, cheering on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren at football games, wrestling tournaments, and ice skating performances. He was their biggest fan and never missed a moment to be proud.

Larry’s passions included building, restoring, and collecting cars—many of which he would sneak home before surprising Connie at just the right time. His love for tinkering and his talent with vehicles brought him much joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his children: Brian (Rhonda) Millard, Brenda (Roger) Collinsworth, and daughter-in-law Celeste Lewis; grandchildren: Alicia Adamson, Eric Millard (Desiree), Jon (Lacey) Millard; great-grandchildren: Breanna Millard, Jayden Adamson, Paisley Millard, Piper Millard, Marshall Millard; as well as six bonus grandchildren and their spouses, and 13 bonus great-grandchildren. Larry is also survived by his sisters, Karen Law and Lana Bruno; sister-in-law, Aggie Millard; and many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Jo; his son, Jon Millard; his twin brother and best friend, Jerry Millard; and his parents, Melvin and Mae.

Larry’s legacy is one of unconditional love, pride in family, and unwavering support. After many years apart, he is now reunited with Connie, Jonny, and Jerry—no doubt laughing, joking, and watching over us with pride. He will be missed beyond measure and remembered with love by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial Service and Lunch will be June 14, 2025 at 11:00 am.  At the Suncrest Family Worship Center Lower Building.
