Larry P. Lyle Obituary Larry P. Lyle, 71, passed away September 20, 2016 in Spokane, WA. He was born March 5, 1945 to Mary and Jessie Lyle in Dallas, TX. He was the youngest in a family of four. He was a Marine in the USMC from 1964-1968. He married Linda Lee Clark on February 2, 1967 in Reno, NV. They lived in Hawthorne for four years where his daughter, Paula was born and he worked as a Deputy Sheriff at the Mineral County S.O. Larry G. was born two years later in Fallon, NV. Larry moved to Spokane, WA in 1971 with his family, and was employed with the Spokane Police Department. In 1974, his son, Dallas, was born in Spokane, WA. Larry graduated from Whitworth University in Spokane in 1986. After 37 years of service, Larry retired from the Spokane P.D. In recent years he helped provided primary care of three grandsons, Chad, Paul and William who were a great delight to him. He often expressed a wonderful sense of humor. His character and goals in life were defined by honesty, integrity, and a determination to support his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elta Lee. He is survived by a brother, JA Lyle and JoAnn Hines of Texas and three children: Paula Oliver in Puyallup, WA, Larry G Lyle of Spokane, WA and Dallas Lyle in Spokane, formally from San Diego, CA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Chad, Paul, Will, Joe, Taylor and his loving dogs, Maxwell, Smokey, Bratwurst & Scooter. He peacefully passed away at the North Spokane Hospice House. The family is appreciative of the amazing care rendered by all of the doctors, nurses and Hospice care staff.
