Lawrence "Larry" J. Taylor (77), of Deer Park, WA, passed into his eternal home on July 17, 2012 due to Alzheimer complications. He was born in Seattle, WA, moved to Spokane at a young age and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps before becoming a mechanic at Kaiser Aluminum/Trentwood. He retired in 1993 after 30-plus years of employment with Kaiser. Larry was always active and enjoyed a variety of hobbies which he shared with family and friends. He had a house-boat and spent many years camping at Priest Lake, he was an amateur HAM Radio Operator (KA7HUG) and also enjoyed puttering with his 1947 Ford tractor. In later years he began building and flying remote controlled airplanes and metal detecting or gold dredging with two of his sons. Larry leaves behind his wife, Judi, and six dearly loved children: Vaughn (Marilyn), Vince, and Kevin (Loretta) Taylor, and Stacey (Scott) Lewis, all of Deer Park WA., as well as two stepchildren, Rachelle Reiter and Scott Inch. Family members who will also miss him are a brother, Wm. H. Taylor (Spokane) and sisters Deanna Wittner (Spokane), Merlyn Simms (Bremerton), Judy White (Seattle), many grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Larry will be greatly missed and dearly remembered by family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be sent to Alzheimer's Association , Inland NW Chapter, 910 W 5th, Spokane, WA 99204. Viewing at Heritage Funeral home will be Friday, July 20th, from 10-5. A private graveside service will be held at Woodland Cemetery, Deer Park.
