Leland Bailey Obituary Leland (Beetle) Bailey passed away peacefully October 26 in Thermal California. He was born January 21, 1935 to Henry Bailey and Lenna Glenn Benscoter of Sandpoint, Idaho. When he was 17 he enlisted in the US Coast Guard as a cook. He married Norma Jean Masterpolo in 1955. He retired from the Coast Guard in 1972, and went to Spokane Community College and got his culinary arts degree. From 1980 to 1985 Beetle and Norma opened Beatles Caf� in Spokane, they later opened Beatles Drive-in in Medical Lake from 1989 to 1995. Beetle and Norma enjoyed traveling in their motorhome, camping, fishing, and hunting. He is survived by daughters Dr. Lenna King and her husband Arthur King, and Lisa Crosby, and son Leland Roger Bailey Jr. grandchildren Matt, Joey, Justin, Lucas, Samantha and Brandon great grandchildren Damon, Isaiah, Max, and Enzo. Sister-in-law Joyce Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Norma his wife of 58 years.
