Leola G. Miller Obituary (Age 91) Leola went home to her Lord on May 30, 2011. She was born October 15, 1919, in Rosalia, WA to Alvin and Elsie Graham. Leola Graduated from Mead High School, attended Whitworth College and graduated from Kinman Business College, Spokane, WA. Alvin Graham was in the lumber business moving his mill around Northeastern Washington and Central Oregon, where Leola met and fell in love with Dick Miller at Anatone, WA. They married and raised four children before Dick?s early death in 1961. She used and honed her business skills in their lumber business, later moving into office and credit management. Leola was honored by the Seattle chapter and the National Association of Credit Management as ?Credit Person of The Year? in 1978, and in 1981 became National Chairman of The Board of NACM?s Credit and Financial Development Division. Art Scarpello, a supplier?s rep, met Leola through business and faithfully pursued her for many years. They were married in 1982 and enjoyed extensive travel before Art?s death in 1990. Leola eventually formed her own consulting and accounting business, LGM Systems before retiring to Spokane in 1998. She is survived by her four children, Jim Miller, Spokane, WA, Terry Miller, Garden Valley, ID, Janean Wjvold, Seattle, WA and Shari Walker, Everett, WA, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. For her entire life, she inspired people around her. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 18, 2011 at 10:00AM at Heritage Funeral Home.
