Leon Charles Vostrez 91, of Spokane, WA passed away on December 27th, 2024.
Born in Alexandria, Nebraska, the son of the late Leon Vostrez and Faye O. Burt. He was the husband of Angie Vostrez. Together, they shared 68 years of marriage together.
Leon attended Meridian High School and was part any band that would let him play in. Music was his passion and followed him throughout his lifetime. In high school he was also an active member of the Future Farmers of America. After high school, Leon pursued an Associate's Degree in Fine Arts at Boise Junior College. His dedication to service was evident when he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served as a sergeant during a two-year tour in Augsburg, Germany. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to music by serving two more years with the Army National Guard Band. Leon dedicated 46 years of his career to Chrysler Credit Corporation, retiring with the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Beyond his professional achievements, Leon's true passion lay in music, where he made lasting contributions to the Spokane British Brass Band, El Katif Shriners Band and the Lilac City Community Band. His legacy in the local music scene will continue to inspire for years to come.
Leon is survived by his son Stephen Vostrez; Brother John Vostrez and 7 Grandchildren.
Leon is predeceased by wife Angie Vostrez; Son Bob Vostrez and Daughter Pam Gottlob.
A visitation will be held, Friday, January 17th, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Heritage Funeral & Cremation. 508 N. Government Way. Spokane, WA 99224. A Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 pm on Greenwood Memorial Terrace. 211 N. Government Way. Spokane, WA 99224
