Leona L. Raugust Obituary Leona Raugust, age 87, passed away September 30, 2015 at Hospice House of Spokane. She was born on June 25, 1928 to Albert and Martha Rott of Lind, WA. Leona was raised on the family farm near Rockford, Washington, the eldest of six children and graduated from Rockford High School in 1946. She worked for three years in Spokane before she married Calvin Raugust on October 16, 1949. They resided for many years on the family farm near Garfield, Washington where Leona excelled at all the duties of a homemaker, including keeping the home, raising the children and canning and food preservation. She always kept the pantry full of her homemade goodness. After moving from the family farm she managed a family-owned bowling alley and motel for several years in Moscow, Idaho. In retirement her hobbies and interests included painting, crocheting and other handcrafts. She was an accomplished piano and organ player. Leona was a born again Christian and attended the Nazarene and Assembly of God churches. She was survived by her husband of over 65 years, two sons, Terry Raugust and Dale (Denise) Raugust; five grandchildren, Gary Raugust, Greg Raugust, David Raugust, Benjamin Raugust, and Jessica Raugust; three siblings, Palmer Rott, Eleanor (Ed) King, and Darlene Kruse, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
