Leonard Sr. Rison Obituary (Age 95) Leonard passed away in Spokane on February 2, 2018. He was born in Jonesboro, LA on April 25, 1922 to Archie and Effie Rison. Throughout his life, Leonard lived in Louisiana, Yakima, Bend, Klamath Falls and Spokane. Leonard joined the United States Army on October 27, 1942 and was honorably discharged on October 18, 1945. On October 13, 1947 Leonard married the love of his life Mary Reed, who preceded him in death on April 7, 2010. Following his service in the Army Leonard worked on the Columbia River Dams, N.W. Pipeline Corp., and Kaiser Aluminum Mead Plant, where he retired in 1981. Leonard enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and United Steelworkers Local 329. Leonard was preceded in death by Cindy Rison and Avelynn Marney. He is survived by his children Lester Rison (Sue), Charles Rison (Carol Lynn), Leonard Rison Jr., Kenneth Rison (Lori), Jeannine McIntyre (Patrick), and Nancey Rison (Gene Sanford), 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1:00PM at First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., Spokane WA 99218. The family would like to thank the staff at Royal Park Retirement Center and Horizon Hospice for their loving care.
