Leslie "Liz" Elizabeth Jones-Brown Obituary
(Age 30) Born February 14, 1980 and died September 17, 2010 at Hospice House in Spokane, WA of cancer. Leslie "Liz" attended elementary school at Hamblen and All Saints and high school at Gonzaga Prep. She attended college on Oahu for a short period of time as well as Spokane Falls Community College. She was the daughter of the late Gary D. Brown, who was killed in a helicopter accident at KREM in 1985 at age 29 and Lyn Jones-Brown, who died of natural causes in Camarillo, California, at age 52. She is survived by her maternal grandfather Eugene Jones, her paternal grandfather Thomas Brown and wife Geri, her paternal grandmother, Agnes L. Warn and husband John; her uncle Gregory T. Brown and wife Janna Barry-Brown; cousin Heather Brown, all of Spokane; aunt Diana M. Schore of Mukilteo, WA, and aunt Sandra Jones-Haywood of Kentucky. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Jacqueline (Yearout) Jones as well as her mother and father. Liz, born on Sweethearts Day, was just that. She was sweet, polite, kind and always had a smile on her beautiful face and a kind word on her lips. She was brave and fought her cancer with mind, body and spirit. She was an example of love, courage and hope. She was an inspiration to all who met her and she left an imprint on their lives forever. She will never be forgotten. Her life's purpose was to be a"magnet of love". She drew people together and was a "knitter" in that way. Her dog Siggy, who was her dearest possession on this earth, is the same way, shares the energy of his mommy and will comfort and love people until it's his time to join Liz. She loved her parents more than anything and finally joined them for the best celebration ever! A private family service is to be held. The family requests that memorial donations be sent to Hospice House of Spokane.
