Lilie M. Brucick Obituary Lilie passed away on June 7, 2017 at the age of 90 after a year-and-half battle with cancer. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. She touched the lives of friends and family alike with her generous, caring spirit. Lilie was born in Spokane to Dennis and Leona Stanley on May 16, 1927, attended Whitman Elementary and graduated from John Rogers High School in 1945. She married John Brucick on December 12, 1948. They made their home in Spokane with their three children, Katherine, David, and Timothy. In addition to being a homemaker she worked as a bookkeeper at Spokane and Eastern Bank, a 1970 census taker and ran her own business as a Shaklee Distributor until her death. Volunteer activities included collecting for the March of Dimes, PTA secretary, Brownie Leader, Cub Scout den mother and teachers aide. She was an active member of Hilliard Senior Center, where she served on the Board of Directors and was an office and kitchen volunteer. She participated in croquet, Wii bowling, book club, and drawing. She received the Volunteer of the Year award in 2009, and Certificate of Appreciation from Northeast Community Center in 2010. Lilie was a board member of the Church of Religious Science, where she was a member for many years. Hobbies included bowling, camping, fishing, knitting, writing poetry and cake decorating. She was a talented cake decorator providing birthday and wedding cakes for family and friends. She loved the outdoors and spending time at their mobile home on five acres in Stevens County. She was preceded in death by mother Leona in September 1985 and husband John in March 2000. She is survived by children Katherine Healy (John), David Brucick (Carol), and Timothy Brucick, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Sunset Chapel, Fairmont Memorial Cemetery, 5200 Wellesley, June 20th, at 1:30 p.m. In-lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilliard Senior Center on her behalf, 4001 N.
