January 25, 1949 - September 21, 2010

Linda Diane Smith Obituary Linda Diane Smith flew into the arms of the angels on September 21, 2010. It was International Peace Day, the Fall Equinox and a full moon. Born in San Francisco, California on January 25, 1949, she got her wings after 61 years of life and was swept up to Heaven by her Lord and Maker. She was greeted by her father Walter Smith who had been waiting since April for her arrival. Her mother Jean preceded her in death. She leaves her daughter Rachael Watters and granddaughter Lilly Allison of Spokane, her brother David Smith of Des Moines, Iowa, her step-mother Shirley Smith of Zillah, Washington, her ex-husband George Watters who never stopped loving her for a moment and his wife PJ of Spokane who were her family. Linda worshiped with Self Realization Fellowship in Spokane. She brought love and light to those she met and brightened every home she called her own. Valley Vista Care Center in St. Maries, Idaho was her home for nearly eight years. Their love and care gave her freedom and encouragement to live a full life surrounded by nature, music, classic movies, art and spiritual worship that meant so much to her. Linda left a light footprint on mother earth. It was purple. Her spirit will be missed, but the angels will delight to call her their friend and sister. A private memorial will be held on October 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Please contact Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory for information.
