Linda Lee (Clark) Lyle Obituary Linda Lee Clark Lyle, 62, passed away July 13, 2011 in Spokane, Washington. She was born October 29, 1948 to Vonda L. and Melbern G. Clark in Hawthorne, Nevada. She was the youngest in a family of six. She married Larry Paul Lyle on February 2, 1967 in Hawthorne, Nevada. Linda graduated from Mineral County High School in Hawthorne in 1967 and then married her Marine, Larry in Reno. They lived in Hawthorne for four years where her daughter, Paula was born and Larry worked as a deputy sheriff. Larry Glen was born two years later in Fallon, Nevada. She moved to Spokane, Washington in 1971 with her family, Larry who was employed with the Spokane Police Department. Her third child, Dallas (named after the Dallas Cowboys) was born in Spokane. During her 35 years of sobriety, Linda was active as a counselor with several substance abuse counseling agencies in the Spokane region. She guided many clients into long term recovery from alcohol and drug addictions. In recent years she provided primary care of three grandsons, Chad, Paul and William who were a great delight to her as she was to them. As their greatest fan, she assisted in their team baseball activities and was involved as a board member for Spokane Babe Ruth, up until the last day of her life. She was tenacious in reaching her goals. She often expressed a wonderful sense of humor when faced with adversities. Her character and goals in life were defined by honesty, integrity, and a determination to support her children's and grandchildren's dreams. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother LaMarr Kreimeyer, Gary and Jerry (her twin brothers) and her first grandson, Nicholas Paul Douville. She is survived by her husband, Larry Lyle; three children, Paula Oliver in Puyallup, Washington, Larry Glen Lyle of Reno, Nevada and Dallas Lyle in Spokane, formally from San Diego, California. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Chad, Paul, Will, Joe, Taylor and her "lil baby" beloved dog, Maxwell. Her surviving sisters are Dolores Schacht of Evergreen, Colorado, Norma Haltom of McKinney, Texas, Evelyn Regan of Fallon, Nevada; and her brother Roger Kreimeyer of Payson, Arizona. She peacefully passed away at the Spokane Hospice House after a courageous two-year bout with cancer. The family is appreciative of the amazing care rendered by all of the doctors, nurses and Hospice care staff. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 2pm at Heritage Funeral Home. Visitation hours at Heritage are Friday, July 15, 10am to 5pm and Saturday, July 16, 8am to 5pm.
