Linda Mae (Mackey) Sowl Obituary (Age 69) Passed away July 25, 2017 in Spokane She was born March 21, 1948 to Gordon and Mae Mackey (Postlewait). Linda married her high school sweetheart Frank Davis in 1967, and later married Byron Sowl in 1973. In 1993 she met Gary Cava and spent the last 24 years as his significant other and companion. Linda grew up in Spokane and lived in and around the area her entire life. She graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1966 and remained close friends with several of her classmates. Linda was a homemaker, but also a foster parent and respite care provider for the State of Washington. She opened her heart and her home to countless children, elderly and disabled people throughout her career. She was a collector of many beautiful things; especially daffodils, dolphins and sunshines. She loved celebrating the holidays, dressing up and decorating for every occasion. She enjoyed shopping and finding special gifts for her loved ones. Linda attended Unity Church of Truth throughout her life and was a member of the Mother's of Twins Club and Beta Sigma Phi. Survived by her children: Debbie Weeks, Dawn Sowl, Diane Sowl Biggs and Dana Sowl Lippincott, all of Spokane; her stepchildren: Eric Sowl, Tammie Cava-Karras, Crystal Cava-Kiel and Barry Cava; godson (Ward) Joseph Davis and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ken Mackey. Visitation will be at Heritage 10-5PM on Tuesday followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM Wednesday August 2, 2017 at Heritage Chapel.
