Lois (Dalquist) Stall Obituary
(Age 89)
Longtime resident of the South Hill and The Ridge, known to many as Pat and Gail's mother, and the "lovely lady in handbags at the Crescent" - passed away in Stanwood, WA. Born in Moscow, Idaho on July 20, 1921, Lois spent the wartime years in Seattle where she met her first husband, Lt. Cmdr. Kenneth Keith Dalquist, a Spokane native. After the war, they lived in Florida and San Diego until his death in a Naval plane crash in 1947. With a two month old and a two year old, she bravely returned to Spokane and raised her family, active in church and school activities. In 1979 she married Raymond Stall, a retired railroad engineer who predeceased her. During these years she was an active hiker, Daughter of the Nile and a member of 4th Memorial Church. In 2002, Lois moved to Stanwood, Washington to be near her daughter Pat Logen (Dr. Dan Logen). She relished the loving closeness of her family - daughters Pat and Gail (David) Glass; and her five grandchildren: Bonnie, Erik (Vicki) and Graham Logen, Suzanne (Luke) and Gretchen Scott; and three great-grandsons. With them she often traveled to California and Hawaii. Known for her wit amongst dour Scandinavians she was classy and sassy, and always a realist. Her final gift to her children: A piece of candy in the funeral packet - for what would surely be "a hard day". Aloha and Maholo to a lady who loved the fragrance of a lei and the warmth of the trade winds. Donations to Shriner's Hospital.
