Lois June (Hall) Pace Obituary
(Age 91)
At the age of 91, Lois went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2010. She was born June 23, 1918 in Wenatchee, WA to Ora and Olive Hall. She attended school in Wenatchee and graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1939. That same year on May 4th, she was married to William H. (Bill) Pace. In 1940, they moved to San Francisco, CA when Bill went to work for General Electric. That same year, both Lois and Bill were invited to a Gideon camp meeting. The Gideon International puts Bibles in hotels and motels and gives testaments to military personnel and to grade school children. Both Lois and Bill soon joined the Gideon ministry. One of Lois' greatest joys was joining the ladies in their Gideon Auxiliary testament distribution day. They would go to medical and dental facilities and give out free Gideon New Testaments to any person who would like one. In 2006, Lois was honored by Gideon's International Headquarters in Nashville, TN, for her many years of active service. While still in Wenatchee, Lois taught Child Evangelism Fellowship Good News Club in her church across from a grade school. Later, in Spokane, she became a helper in a Good News Club in a private home. In 1954, Lois, Bill and their two children moved to Spokane. For almost 16 years, Lois was a nurse's aide at Deaconess Hospital, retiring in 1980. Lois' husband preceded her in death in 1991. She is survived by her daughter Linda Pace, a retired missionary to Colombia and Dominican Republic; and her son David and his wife Cynthia, of Spokane; also four grandchildren, Carla Pace, Spokane, Kelly Crouse, Wenatchee, Stephanie Burdick and husband Brett, Spokane, Sarah Reichardt-Crosby and husband Marcel, Spokane; three great-grandsons, David Vega, Anaheim Hills, CA, Cody Crouse, Wenatchee, WA, and Trace Burdick, Spokane, WA. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 6th, 1:00 PM, at the Garland Church, 2011 W. Garland. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Memorial Bible Fund of Gideon International, PO Box 14997, Spokane, WA 99214-0997.
