Lois Mae Eisle Snider Obituary (Age 90) Lois passed away peacefully at home on May 5, 2014. She was born in Wise River, MT to Fred and Helen Carstens on April 25, 1924. Sadly her father died when Lois was just 6 years old, her mother later married Lou Keller. After graduating with honors, from Ronan High School in Montana in 1938, Lois and her sister Irma moved to Spokane and were both employed at the Davenport Hotel. Lois married Ray N. Snider in 1946, and Irma married Ray�s brother, Frank soon after. Ray and Lois had 4 sons; Larry, Neil, Wayne and Curtis. Lois was actively involved as a Sunday school teacher at St. Paul�s Methodist church, a Den Mother with Cub Pack 8-Audubon School, VFW post 51 and Auxiliary President 1977-1978, she earned several awards and loved community involvement. She was an accomplished homemaker and loved entertaining family and friends. Her friends knew her as a caring, positive person who enjoyed socializing and welcomed new adventures. She was independent, hardworking and faced all obstacles with determination. She volunteered at the Sinto Senior Center, Meals on Wheels and contributed to The Union Gospel Mission. In retirement, Ray and Lois were snowbirds in Arizona for many winters, and spent 2 months traveling in Europe with their son Larry. Her husband Ray passed away in 1997 after 51 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Wayne (2012) and Neil (2013). She is survived by 2 sons Larry (Marta) and Curtis (Becky), 5 grandchildren; Todd, Ben, Elliot, Nick and Michelle, and 6 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 15th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 16th at 11:00 am at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W.
