Lois Myers Obituary (Age 94) On Sunday evening, July 10, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend answered the Lord?s call to come home. Lois was born in Ransom, Illinois on September 22, 1916 to John and Ida Weber. Upon her marriage to Milton Myers, she drove cross country in a Model T to join him at Farragut Naval Base. They had two children during their years in Coeur d?Alene, Idaho, then moved to Spokane in 1952 where Milt started an advertising agency. Lois began her career as a secretary with the Mead School District that ensued until her retirement at age 66. During her years at Mead High School and later at Whitworth Grade School, she enjoyed wonderful friendships with staff, students, and their families. She continued to cook wonderful meals, knit dishcloths, and read up until her recent hospitalization. Her glowing smile, quick wit, and caring ways will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Lois is survived by her children, Sandy (Bob) Spears and Jon Myers of Spokane, her grandchildren, Brad (Kristen) Spears, Traci (Sean) Isakson, Chad Myers, and Gina (Brian) Dwyer, and her great-grandchildren, Jordon, Meghan, and Sam Spears, Rylin and Ivy Isakson, and Bayley and Hayden Dwyer, and her numerous friends, especially Jane Smith, Kenneth Dorsch, her niece,? GiGi? Short, and great-niece Deb Hester whose devotion helped sustain her the past 20 years. Thanks to her caregiver, Sheila Sampson, who made it possible for mom to remain in her home until one week ago. Lois was a member of Whitworth Presbyterian Church since moving to Spokane. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years in 1991. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, July 16, at 11am at Colbert Presbyterian Church, 4211 E.
